Don’t Look Back
“Don’t look back!” he said to me
“Look forward and look bright.
I’ll show you how great love can be
And that what we have is right.”
I wanted to believe in him
And to know that this was true
I said “You show me where to go
And I will follow you”
He held his hand out to me
So I took it in my grasp
I felt I knew where we were going
Without even having to ask.
Was this a sign that he was right
Feeling this was the perfect track.
I walked beside him confidently
And not once did I look back.
